This project is to explore the configuration of a multicast network using different operating systems.

I have tried used VLC to stream a video. This didn’t have the desired outcome. The stream was working and sending, however on the client machine VLC was not able to play the video, only the first couple of seconds.

I have instead used a multicast tester called Singleware Multicast Tester

To start with I have used a basic topology with only a single Nexus switch with two Windows 10 machines on either side.
I have advanced this to a three router topology in IOS 15 to see how PIM Sparse and Dense mode work, and also to further see the shared and source trees with sparse mode.
